CAPÍTULO I, ABELINA.
Abelina is a reliquary project. Where there is a great appreciation of antiquity, craft detail and its revaluation, goldsmithing, reliquary (it is a precious box or case to keep memories) and lost objects. Found in the filthy soil of a cold, wet, rocky, cloudy nature universe, slowly created, detailed and ghostly.
Most of these pieces are made to order between Madrid and Extremadura. I design, model and manufacture each piece by hand thanks to the techniques inherited from my grandmother and my great-grandmother Abelina.
I currently work with Maria and Pedro, artists/artisans, for our amulet pieces, using traditional craft methods.
This is how our objective begins: the inclusion of artists outside of commercial currents, located in relocated places.
We mostly source fabrics and pieces from my grandparents' house, from flea markets, local markets, and inventory stores. For this reason, many of our pieces are limited.
